AFN Good morning, or Afternoon!!!
Ive been looking thru the files, tryin to find a few great journals on AEROPPNICS. Ive found alot of log for HYDROponics, but not AEROponics. I have some questions about germinating then transplanting Autos. I don't wanna kill my girls but it seems like a Transplant is unavoidable. I just would like to follow someone's log who been here and figured it out already ! Any links PLZ DROP UM!
GrowSpace is 5 x 10 & Ten Ft tall (Once a little more comfy I'll split space for Veg/Flower Cycle). I'll be using a 600w Hydro LED as well as a few CFL's.......

Aye, not much on NFT either hence trying to get a ball rolling there too.

My first go with aeroponics, including transplanting an aero reject into soil, is in The Giant Dr Feelgood thread in the ShortStuff room and I have 2 different journals for the 4 strains I have in aeroponics just now. 3 of them are getting transplanted into soil too....

Seemed to work the last time so I'm trying it on some healthy (hopefully!) plants this time. The other plant I'm going to grow out in aeroponics by itself and that is in the Auto Gorilla OG grow and show thread.

Thanks, this was a great read, and the way he used 2 cups to start them transplant was dope. I'm Mos Def foin to keep that in mind when transplanting auto in soil.... It seemed to work well for him. I'm guessing by time the seeds finally root in Rockwood cube I can just drop it in the Aero18 and let it go........seems logical to me

I'll be watching post, I really wanna try this Aeroponics out. I geuss what I'm tryin to do is NOT have to by a Aero18 AND Aeroponic Cloner just to start the seeds, then after all that have my girl stunted from the transplant. Ive read that some Auto strains are fine being transplanted but I'm not sure which.........

Hey..i wrote the article. Yeah instatransplant pots work very well. I'll be using them for every auto from now on.

Rare on the Internet perhaps mate but the hydro shop I use most said they have sold loads of them and Nutricare systems are common sights in other shops here too. Most of my mates grow with them although haven't had quite the same level of success as I've had from listening to the legend at the grow shop.

When I started growing the guy at the grow shop circled the bit for the hydro base nutes on a printed Ionic feed schedule and said "Just do that." and I've spent the last couple of years trying to understand why.

Aeroponics is just like NFT.....pump sits in a large reservoir of carefully controlled nutrient solution, solution gets pumped up a delivery tube and aerated before passing over the roots and then back into the active reservoir. The key difference is the way the nutrient solution is aerated and aeroponics seems to be about getting the water droplet size down to maximise the surface area available for oxygen to get mixed in. Otherwise I just do pretty much the same thing with aeroponics or NFT.
