Good selection of color. Double amber purple is possibly one of the best colors out there but save it till you get your kiln. You can change the colors with the torch but it really needs a kiln and high temps to get the purples. I've used jet black once or twice; I don't really remember it but I think it was bubbly unless encased in clear. If I needed black I'd just pull stringers of turbo cobalt. Exotic green unless they've recently changed the formula, will not work inside out. The 'exotics' have a lot of silver in them so you can get a whole range of colors out and some neat effects but it's just for surface work.
Try taking a piece of rod 5-6mil fume it with silver, try to keep it strait as possible (4-6 inchs long). Then run a line of clear rod down each side of the rod. Punty up to both ends and twist it up in to lattachino (twisty cane). Then use the rod to make bumps or lines or what ever you can think of.
