New Grower Light and yield

35g is good for an auto :).

????? If someone gets less than a couple of ounces per plant, I start to analyse where they are going wrong. The last grow I did was between 55g the smallest to 90g the largest. Four plants in cheap soil in 11L pots under a 400w hps. These low yield reports had me off checking if my trimming is too generous or something, yet no, other people trim the same. If 35g is considered good, then something is being done wrong. Not trying to be negative, perhaps you didn't realise that such yields were low.

sorry Thud mate but that does come across as a little negative, we were talking about growing under 250w with 6.5l pots in a small space, you've just stated you grow with a 400w in 11l pots so you're nearly double the watts and pot size so you'd expect double the yield? I'd love to grow with that set up but unfortunately it's not an option for me. Also mate the 35g came off only my 2nd grow so i'm a complete novice at growing, learning by the day and trying to soak up knowledge from the more experienced growers on here including yourself sir! I only have to look around at the pics and reports on here to know that far more impressive yields are possible and i'm stoked for the growers who acheive those results, again yourself included. One day i hope to come on here and proudly say i pulled 50-90g off one plant but for now it's a (slow!) learning process and i'm happy with 35g! Any advice on how to increase yield under 250w/6.5l pots gratefully accepted though! :peace:

Do you run photos aswell medic? That's just sounding crazy to me lol a 25litre pot -_- is it worth it as I'm sure they don't get long enough to veg and root out a pot that size?
Haha I feel out done with your set up you tease :P all ill say is the tent comes down Xmas but I'm not downsizing lol ;) something is being set up with the aim of 144oz lol dought it'll be going online though
I thought it was over kill at first too. From what I've heard autos only need 15L at most but a friends of mine used 13 gal pots for his autos and the roots were growing out the bottom of the pot by the end of the grow

Imo if you want good yield dont grow autos, use half as much light weight an extra 2 weeks and blow auto yields out of the water? I of course do want high yields but for me and my set up at the moment if i hit what i hope for i get basically the same as if i was doing photos due to the time taken with vegging. When i go for the big project i wont be doing no autos though only photo plants.

Honestly bro I've yeilding more from autos than I have from photos and I vegged the photos for almost 2 months. I was incredibly disappointed with my photo plants and that's why I'm growing all autos right now. I got about 14 ozs from 4 photos and they took about 90 days to flower so in that time I could've grown almost 2 sets of autos. Off of 3 autos under my 600w i got 13ozs so you do the math haha

ahh thats really making me think less is more lol im just scared to risk it and end up with a shit yield. Need to make sure im getting something good after this current grow i got going on. If i had already started my next grow under the cfl i honestly would just rip this crop down now lol its a joke to look at....only leaving it so i can see actually how poor it is.

Think im gonna go with 3 cream caramel and a freebie auto inside my dr60 under the 250. and for my 120x120 tent under a 600w im gonna go with 5 critical jack and 3 blue cheese both autos by dinafem. Im not gonna train them in lst but i am gonna pull branches in as alot of branches hang due to the weight. Im ashamed ive gone with cream caramel after sweet seeds shit customer service and terrible results from my current grow. Ive smoked cream caramel before though and it was dank. Next i will try your idea though medic and im gonna shove a single plant inside my dr60 under the 250 and lst and see how we get on. Im hoping my current grow i get around 7oz....ive always got more than that from just my 600w so you can get an idaea of how bad things are....ill go update some pics in a minute just as im at home bored.

I hope thing turn around for you man :smokebuds: good idea with 1 plant under your 250 I bet that will be your highest yeilding plant ever. If you don't mind me asking what are you using for nutrients? And when do you start feeding bloom?

using plant magic old timers organic veg and bloom. I have never had a yield this bad....my mate came and looked and laughed....dont wonders for my ego lol...If i can hit 4/5oz from the 250w tent ill be happy and if i can just pull my usual 10oz from the bigger tent thats me happy....i start mine off in a spare cupboard and so with strains like critical jack im only waiting 6weeks till the next chop date....thats me pulling 20oz every 12weeks....cant complain with that and ill be making that 30oz if the smaller tent can deliver 5oz :) ill be happy with that for now lol xmas i wont be putting the grow online and probably coming off the internet for abit but im gonna be aimming to get a serious grow going on. project 144oz lol

Damn dude you'll have to let me know how that big run goes  144 ozs is enough smoke for many many days :D my upcoming run I'll have 14 plants and I hope to break 4 lbs
