Indoor lighting for seedlings.

My think different autos have germinated and im ready to plant. I kno flourescent lights are best at first but can i put them straight under my 400w hps? Do i jus need to make sure the pots are far enough they dont get hot? Please help my seedlings are ready but i dont want to overwelm them!

Not the best option, like you said, but it has been done by others. You might look into a MH conversion bulb that will work with your HPS fixture. That's what I do.

I have 5 mi5 going right now that started under a 400w hps and they look really good, maybe just a little on the short side but i dont think that have anything to do with my lamp. Just be careful the first week(s). Mind the light and heat.

Iv always bunged them under my 400w hps no probs at all just watch temps dude.
