Just want to get everyones thought on this ??:186::204:

Unless you're trying to cut back a little on electricity or heat, I say 20/4 all the way. You can even start them on 24/0 for a week or so, but I still think plants need respite. :D

theres many disputes about the light cycle for autos some like 24/0 straight throught others like 20/4 or 18/6 personaly i meet down the middle lol and go 19/5 just coz it works out for when i get up (lights go off) to when my baby goes back to sleep for an hr or so when he wakes up lights back on :smokebuds: Ive done 24/0and 18/6 and i see more growth on the 18/6 also if your humidity is realy low it helps doing 18/6 gets the RH up :smokebuds:

I actually switched to 18/6 at the end of my last little run just for that; RH. But this house acts much differently and my humidity is higher which I am thankful for.

i hear you Squid i wanted to go 20/4 but Rh at around 30% so longer lights off more RH and also if i switch of my extractor and filter the RH Boooms up to 85% tent gets very wet inside :dance:

Hey thanks guys , si1984 and Squid!!

Tailoring the light cycle to suit your environmental conditions may therefore be the correct way to deal with the light timing dilemma. I have had to run my grow at 24/0 to combat cold temps, which are inevitably accompanied by skyrocketing RH levels due to the inability if the cooler air to hold as much moisture as the warmer air...... The choice is yours...

i use both on the same grow or ill use one or the other depending on the time of the year 18/6 for summer and 20/4 in the winter just because of outside temps since i have hot summers and very cold winters
