New Grower Lights for auto flower

Hi

I am new to this... and am growing Northern Lights and Candy Cane indoors in secret garden grow tents. My question is: Do I need to switch my autoflowers from a veg room and light (125 Watt Sunblaster Veg at 18/6 cycle) to a bloom room (125 watt sunblaster bloom) to a 12/12 cycle? It seems my plants to fine in the veg room until I switch to the bloom room. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Autos don't need to go to 12/12. They will flower in 24 hour light if you use it, but 18/6 is the schedule I see most recommended

Agreed. No need for 12/12. I ran my TD on a 24 hour light schedule until about a week after flowers started showing, then switched to 19/5.

You should run the veg light until upward growth slowes or stops, then switch to bloom. Same with nutes if you use them. Also, if I were you, I'd up your light schedule to 20/4. Like everyone else said, 12/12 is for photoperiod plants, not autoflowers. Good luck with your grow!

Oh I should clarify, too... my question referred to once they have flowered. I kept them in the veg tent till they had lots of flowers - then moved into the second tent to the 12/12 cycle for them to turn to buds.

My first attempt, I grew two others with a 300 watt hdl light, and did really well... then I got the tents, changed the lighting to the Sunblaster flourescents... but just not getting the same results as I did the first two. Still waiting for them to bud but the pistels are already getting brown (about 20% now) and they just aren't growing into the buds the first two did.... hope I am making sense... :no:

OK - thanks so much for the info. After being at 12/12 for 3 weeks in the bloom room, is it too late to switch to 20/4? Or should I ride this one out? (and yes, getting the nutes down now... it's been a process but i think I've got it, was taught same as you just said... good to hear it is consistent!)

Sorry Folks... I'm just so confused now (getting different numbers!)... For my plants that are currently on an 18/6 hour schedule for the veg state, what light cycle should they go to the bloom room when they are ready? Thanks for the clarification when they should go in. (and again, can I increase it to that for the plants in bloom room now, currently on a 12/12 cycle? or will that confuse them to much?) thanks all

You could run them 18/6 the whole way through. There really is no need to switch lighting schedules since they are autos, meaning they automatically flower without having to be forced to do so
