So, I got curious (yes I’m high….move on about it, will you!!) and started wondering if there are other types of nog, or just egg. Well, first I realized how strange of a word “nog” is. Nog. Odd….

Anywho, so I googled it…… and IMAGINE my HORROR when the google machine spit out a truly horrific fact…….


There was once a limited edition beverage on the market called “ranchnog”…… it was a ranch flavored eggnog beverage put out by Hidden Valley. For real….

I had to make about 30 gallons of ranch dressing in culinary school. People who saw me dump a load of anchovies in the mix freaked but anchovies are used for the salty taste The ranch topic conjured the memory
