I grew up in the cold war living beside or under airforce bases and constantly heard sonic booms. Usualy 3 in a row in rapid succession.

I never got used to it. Made me jump every time.

Yeah...it is a Strange disturbed air thing that will always set the hairs up on the back of your neck......

The next airport down to us 40 minutes away has a military training base.. I think they break the sound barrier over the sea...and it rattles inland .

Few times it has rattled stuff off shelves......

It didn't help that military families always had bomb prep drilled into them.

Eventualy I realized if they dropped a big one today, I'd have wasted the last months worrying about it instead of enjoying my life.....and if it didn't drop I'd have wasted the same time worrying about it.

Talk in the staffroom the other day and I was saying if it kicks off I hope I'm underneath one.......I'm far too old to be fighting you off from my meager food and water supplies...and getting turned into a zombie......

And what about cannabis being the only effective medicine left on earth.....i'd be mugged .....nah...count me out.......

Did I ever tell you about us walking on the beach one morning and coming across a lump of whale vomit....?...


The dog found it...hubby kicked it..inspected it and said whale vomit...yerk...so we walked away.

Stuff is worth a bloody fortune....had to be a kilo in weight...sigh...

Also...there was a drugs bust at sea and they lost a ton of cannabis overboard...man...we walked every inch of the beach for 10 days.....never found a thing.......

I've been watching for Solar Powered grow lights...must admit I think it might be a few years afore the tech catches up with powered grow lights..
But this one caught my eye.... anyone got an idea if it is any good or not...?.... ...well I mean...does it Sound as if it is anywhere near a powered panel..
