The Mexican and Puerto Rican guys i worked with both said each other speaks fucked up Spanish. I had an aunt from england, couldnt understand a word for the longest time.

Its true, then go to Spain its completely different than both. More formal Spanish where Mexico and Puerto Rico have adopted a lot of slang into their versions of Spanish.
