@wwwillie - good advice for people attending "things." I never take my phone with me, I just buy a burner at target on the way. Good enough for pics/vids/documenting and calling for a ride out if needed. No ID either.

I am going to the no kings protest here tomorrow. Not planning any violence or vandalism but I will be ready if things to get out of hand. I also unfortunately had the need for knife and bulletproof clothing so I've got a level 2 ultralight tac vest I can slip under clothes pretty easily. Good enough to take a few rubber bullets as long as they don't shoot my face. Hopefully the rain in the forecast makes it even easier to hide with a light windbreaker. Thick padded moto jeans, wide brim hat with neck gator and built in up or down face mask.

N95s make decent respirators. You can't stay in tear gas but you can get enough time to get away instead of going down and getting caught, beaten, and dissapeared for a few days.

If this post breaks rules, or incites an uncivil discussion, I will understand if it gets deleted.

I would advise to stay home. This is not 2020. They're not playing around this time. Anything this weekend that gets out of hand will be stifled quite quickly to send a message.
I absolutely 100 percent support your right to go peacefully protest what you think the government is doing wrong, but your participation is just not going to change anything. Nothing the Feds are doing is wrong of illegal in any form or fashion.

I am planning to just go sit. If they tell me leave I go somewhere else. I expect more trouble from other protesters.

Actually, you know what? You guys have inspired me to protest something for real tomorrow. The lack of federal legalization! Fully legal for everyone. That's what I'll be about for all of us tomorrow. Something we can all agree on!
