Feels like the back wheels on my work truck are skipping on ice when I hit the gas. Somebody told me rear differential? Anybody know how immediate of a repair that is? It's a pain in the ass to swap trucks

A broken steel belt in a tire can make it act that way. Does it feel weird going around a bend? Ass end feel like its weaving.
