Mine are photoperiods, but yeah you can take alot. If you start early and stay on top of it, you never have to take so much that it would shock your plant. If you let it go and have to take alot, i try not to take more than 50-60% of the foliage. Just be careful getting the leaves and suckers deep inside the plant, i still find myself cutting branches i dont mean to lol.

I went hardcore with El Chapo clones a few grows ago and got great results. They have almost unlimited time to recover. But this is a 10 week (12+) auto strain so there's only 5-6 weeks to play with.

It's probably a "cardinal sin" but my thumbnail beats scissors for all but the tougher ones.

Not a sin at all, I’ve developed a way where i kind of pop the leaves off at the base, pulling the stem in the opposite direction its growing i guess. Im sure its a method with a name lol. But yeah after so long you learn you just cant get scissors everywhere and you gotta use your fingers sometimes, then you learn how fast it can be!
