My buddy and one of my mechanics out in Phoenix used to make fun of me for carrying a 9mm.

I loved the m9…..very easy to shoot, accurate, and reliable…. Although parts start breaking on them if it gets really cold out….My buddy and one of my mechanics out in Phoenix used to make fun of me for carrying a 9mm.
I carried a Beretta 92F. No telling how many thousands of rounds I've shot with that particular weapon. My personal Beretta was a Desert Storm Commemorative. It never stayed in the box like most. Once I had my gunsmith lighten up the trigger for me, that gun was so easy to shoot extremely well, I even surprised my own self at times.
One of my customers owned a gun range and he invited me and my guys out for a visit.
We got already and set up and I decided to start things off. I told everyone that I was a bit rusty, so kinda give me a minute of a break. I kind of fibbed a bit. I did come out earlier in the week and just basically kind of got rid of what I had in my clips. My muscle memory did not let me down any at all!
So I proceeded to empty my clip at this target with no misses in quite rapid succession. While I do have some talent, the vast majority is in the gun. I've got a big hand, so this gun is extremely comfortable. But I feel the most lethal part about this gun is the ease of reacquiring your target. With the heft of the gun and I think minimal recoil, reacquiring the target is almost instantaneous.
I turned around after busting off that first volley and was met with looks of surprise." See what I mean by bullet placement?"
All of them just shook their heads.
Everybody else with their big caliber pistols had problems hitting the target much less a grouping or very quickly.
I got real lazy though! It's got a laser on it now. It's just plain stupid how accurate that laser is!
An old man's got to do what the old man's got to do! I realized that my eyesight is not what it once was, so I adjusted and overcame.![]()

with a pistol anyway..................I loved the m9…..very easy to shoot, accurate, and reliable…. Although parts start breaking on them if it gets really cold out….
I agree about reacquiring the target quickly… I’d rather throw more and accurate lead than bigger lead, with a pistol anyway…![]()
