I used to do that stuff when I was a kid. My parents never knew what I would show up with next. Snakes were just one possibility. Then there were the pet praying mantises, the pigeons, etc. I think it turned me into a biologist.

The dearest is still doing cortisone in left knee. While she recovers from the right knee replacement. Which recovery, it turns out, will have to include what the surgeon calls "manipulating under anaesthetic", MUA for short. You may not want to know what that is, and you definitely do not want to do it.The knees are fading fast as the cortisone wears off. I threw some epsom salt in the hot tub and now I'm going to have a long soak.........and perhaps a little pipeful of hash.........
