Good luck fellow Canuck gro peep, I hope the fire leaves you alone. That thing looks like a monster.

So far our spring has been cool with at least a bit of rain once in a while, so no fires yet. The season is young though, so the jury is out. Some friends not far away got evacuated two years back, but the fire was controlled before reaching them. I installed an agricultural sized sprinkler on the roof of our house, and did a lot of brushing and cleaning up of fuel near the house. Maybe futile, but it should keep a lid on things if conditions are not too dry and windy. Fingers and toes are crossed.
