Essentially once they mature enough to flower they start doing so.. i want to say the Sun Spectrum (particularly Red, possibly UV too) “hits different” in the morning/evening there cause of the angles it comes into equatorial zone .. and that could contribute to the mysterious “trigger” … so that along with the seasonal distances from the sun give it the right spectrum to trigger them…AND if they have ‘seasonal’ temp swings then just maybe the nighttime/early AM low temp is the final component to triggering…
