Actually no.

For big artists this is true, I shoot grass roots, artists who are lucky to be able to book a venue on an off night, and hope they get enough ticket sales and tips to break even.

Except for very few commercial acts 99% of all artists subsidize their art with their 'real' job.

Makes sense... ...I was thinking most big shows would be weekends..

Good Morning All.......going to be a quiet weekend for a change because the high winds from the last couple of days knocked down enough trees that they have closed all of the snowmobile trails. Most weekends the place is just an incessant whine from all the sleds. Might have to try my snowshoes out on my new knee.......lots of fresh snow to soften my steps. Have a great Caturday folks.........stay lit and make it memorable....

We get those things on the lake in summer and ATV's take over the snowmobile trails as well. The forest is beautiful when there is no outside noise but those days are few and far between. When I clear new trails I make them too narrow for any machines, and hide the trailheads as best I can so I can enjoy the quiet........not antisocial but enjoy my me time.

Anyone here remember having 3 channels (plus uhs maybe) and having to get up every time to turn the dial and wiggle the antennae?

I am a great Reader of SciFi. Back in the previous century, when I was a young lass, you guys remember before the Commodore 64 happened and we only had landlines, yes?

Well, I read a book where the hero woman was making her way back to her spaceship and was chatting to her crew using the communicator on her wrist. Absolute sci-fi nonsense.

Then computers happened, followed by mobile phones. When I held my first phone I remembered that book and realised I was standing in the future.

These days, I look at my watch to read messages so I don't have to bother taking my phone out of my pocket. While I listen to music, being broadcast wirelessly from my phone into my cheekbones so I can still hear the traffic around me.

My teenage self would absolutely pass out at when/where/how we live today!
