Afternoon @Buzzard ..you thawing any...?....

Good Morning........temps are supposed to hover around the freezing mark for the next few days. It will bring the frost out of the pavement and make for some shitty roads. Just when I am supposed to drive to the farm and pick up the wife. She has been helping out with her terminally ill mother who has rapidly developed dementia on top of terminal cancer. It's been a struggle for the family to deal with, and father in law needs help with it. He can't leave the house to do his farm chores for fear she will do something stupid. She already started a fire on the stove, and flooded the kitchen by forgetting to turn off the water tap. Having an assessment today to see if she needs to be placed in a home. Hoping she doesn't flip out on the person they send .........she has the mouth of a trucker lately and is getting a bit violent. I am supposed to travel there tomorrow to bring the wife home after her sister takes over the help..................

Empathy sent @Buzzard ... people forget about the violent side of dementia...or they hide it like a guilty secret that someone beloved can be like that..but the impact is real.

Friend looked after her Mother valiantly for 12 years and lost count of the black eyes and bruises she got along the journey.

From the move to Discourse thread:

My Grows are only gonna get more technical from this point forward. The data that I gather will be very important to me and possibly others . I think that I need to document on my own software and keep it locally. I can then transfer it quite easily where it needs to be , but the data will be preserved . I really don't have any idea what kind of software is out there that can accomplish this . I'm very open to input !
