I rolled some lower grade sift a few days ago. I didn’t think I would be able to get it into a ball and I was correct. I kept it pressed for 48 hours making a 6 gram puck.

Nice chunk of hash. Did you warm it while pressing? I like the lower grades better because they burn better in a pipe. The higher grades melt into the screen.

Nice chunk of hash. Did you warm it while pressing? I like the lower grades better because they burn better in a pipe. The higher grades melt into the screen.

I rolled it with a wine bottle filled with boiling water. I changed the water 3 times over the course of a hour. I then pressed at room temp and left in my 50 degree garage.
It makes sense regarding lower grade not melting. I was forced in finding a way for long term storage 5+ years when I retire and can partake. Making a temple ball is great but requires more time and ideal environmental conditions to get mostly heads and have it clean enough to mold/ bind. I may try running future material over the 200 micron screen and then press what’s left instead of sifting a second time. I’m just not sure if the lower grade hash will have as long of a shelf life. Everything is getting wrapped in cellophane and stored in glass that is vacuum sealed. One thing I can say is I won’t be running any sativa leaning varieties through the screens. I didn’t get shit for a return from Head Zeppelin. I’ll be focusing on growing indica leaning dumpers for the next 3 years and building up a hash reserve. When retired I then will be making cobs, hash and smoking flower.

From what I know of the procedure, you should not have much to worry about.

That said - I hope everything works out for the best.
