I've done that once and used goat butter.You should try the way I do it…. Wrap in butcher paper, instead of foil….. instead of adding liquid…. I add smoked tallow onto the brisket before I wrap. The bark will survive this way…..
The old lady, that ran the post office close to the farm, raised goats. I would help her clean out the stalls for The manure and she will also give me milk and butter. I like the milk quite a bit, but didn't really utilize the butter much. I thought it turned out quite well.
