I was given a cassette of the Robert Johnson recordings many years ago which is what started my love for Vintage Guitars.
I just had to have a guitar like the one in one of the few photos of him. And so I found one , my first into the vintage guitar world.
Though there is of course arguments on what the guitar he is playing on the recordings is ? Its said that he faced directly in front of the wall when recording and the only person in the room(?). But in the few photos ,there are a couple different guitars, also said they were just for the photos, and he was supposedly playing a cheap Kalamazoo Branded Guitar on the recordings, not a Gibson. Although Gibson did produce the Kalamazoo's.
Anyway back then I thought I found one , That's in his picture,
1926 Gibson L-0 , the one in RJ photos is a Gibson L-1, so I was close ,didn't quite know as much then as I do now. Fun/Fun !!
