I erm, know a friend too, that uh erm um sorta did this very thing, only my … Uh, .. Uh ‘friend’ was doing 18-6 lights for the on cycle.Happy caturday folks!
Quick question to see where some thinking is.
Say you had your lighting schedule accidentally set to 24-0 instead of the 20-4 you usually do for the first 3 weeks. Would you stick with it or switch back to 20-4, or even wait to the end of stretch then switch to 20-4?
Id never screw up my timing… Asking for a friend
Strain is Dosi-Delerium. First two seeds back in january got aborted cause of heavy herm early on. One of the two i started this time around decided to be a tricot, stalled and got swapped for the last of the dosi seeds. So im leaning to letting stay running at 24-0 to reduce the risk of overly stressing them.

Seriously though, I seed in 24h light cycle..
my last run; I thought I had switched to ‘18 on’ cycle in first two weeks, turns out they got about a month of 24h light cycle. I give them 6 hour naps for in veg. No wind down; a hard 6 hr nights like it or not. My crop turned out fine, the plants did their thing; i have great meddys.
I am of the school of thought that if they are photo plants then they should get some rest. 4-6 hrs.
Autos 2-4 off or 24h. they’re freaks i tend to treat them as such in my Spartan inspiration laboratory .
They can handle it relatively speaking.
Environment plays a role too IMO but my crop was fine once i fixed my lights to the ‘sleep’ cycle of 6 hrs.
It is also my opinion that the plants will adjust to their lighting windows.
Tell the friend good luck
