I would so obliterate this right now! It was 2007 or 2008 when I last had some halibut. Fun Ford Weekend was at New England Dragway, NED. It was pretty cool to be racing at this track that was so famous when I was a kid.
The Race Director for Fun Ford Weekend was a Cajun, Tried N True bred Coonass! NOT racial!!!!!! He come up with a cool idea and he and Bill Alexander, Prez of
W, set up a Cajun Lobster boil. Same stuff is a Cajun Crawfish boil, but with lobsters. It was free for the racers and some ridiculous cheap price for friends and family
It was so damn good! The lobster was incredible !!!!
I asked Bill where he got the lobsters. He told me he got it through one of his buddies that ran a Seafood restaurant close by. So when the race was over on Sunday, I went to this restaurant and got the grilled hallibut. Mahi mahi grilled over Kiawe wood or Mesquite is still my favorite fish, the halibut at the restaurant was a close second.
Here they're putting it on the grill!! Munchies went in to OverDrive when I heard the sizzle!!
Speaking of fishing, I think I'm gonna go catfishing on the back porch, sometime today.
I'm gonna see if I can get some socializing done with the new tabby kitten. A little bird toy tied to a fishing line in pole works quite well. I tamed some barn cats that I got from a deer lease with a squirrel tail tried to fishing line and pole.
