I hope so, man.
So about 6 months ago he had his first UTI, and I didn't really know what was up for a while. There was a female cat in heat outside, and he kept peeing next to the door, so I assumed he was smelling that female.
Then he started licking his belly raw. My wife said you know, this could be a UTI. So we gave him apple cider vinegar for a few days in a syringe, because I read online that could help. That did not, lol.
So I bought some fishmox, which is just amoxicillin for fish tanks, its the exact same stuff you get from the pharmacy, just for animals and not subject to FDA recalls. I looked up the dosing and it was 5-7mg per pound per day. So he got half a 250mg a day for 10 days, and that fixed him up. However, it also made his skin super itchy, so he got a bunch of scabs from scratching at himself. He looked like if DARE made a muppet of a cat addicted to meth to scare kids. But he healed up and was fine.
Then about a month ago I noticed him licking his belly raw again, so he got another round of amoxicillin. He seemed better and besides the scabby skin, he was good.
Then today he peed outside his box again, and I noticed it was dark orange/red color.
We are going to replace his litter box. He lives in my office, which is a detached building from my house. We also have his brother (same parents, different litter) and they got along for a few years until they didn't, and they kept fighting and were really tearing each other up. So I moved this cat out to my office where I spend most of my time. He's also deaf, so I think he was really happy to have the smaller area, because he had been spending a lot of his time hiding. Now he's chill and me and him get along really well. He just doesn't like a lot of commotion going on, or new people. So the building where I grow weed and don't let anyone in besides my wife is perfect for him. Anyways, where I was going with that was, there really is no where else to put his litter box, right now its in the shower stall of the bathroom because I never use that shower, I have the shower head hooked up to a hose instead that I use for filling up buckets for watering.

In the winter when I don't mind the extra heat, I'll turn the small tent on for him a few hours a day so he can spend some time under the grow light.
