In all my ocean fishing the goal was always either to eat it or to sell it. Here in Lake Erie and the Niagara River the fish has too much mercury, PCB's, and anonymous toxins so it's not recommended for eating. There are a bunch of Asian folks taking it home or serving it in their restaurants though.If you call it conservation by catching and releasing the fish it sounds a lot better but yeah pretty much that's the jest of it![]()
