Haven’t tried it from a restaurant yet but the bakery ones we have gotten are fresh stuff but those places don’t keep baked goods overnight so they sell off whats left in the case at the end of the day! Same with the bbq places! Not sure if the restaurants do food thats made daily and didn’t sell or what!
