I think @Fermented_Fruitz has the right idea. Gonna probably head for the mattress now.

Goodnight @Azton and @Fermented_Fruitz and of course everyone else

This has me chuckling. Mostly clean and fresh with all the rain. The Mosses, lichens, and fungi are very happy. The smells of summer are completely gone. No more Labrador tea waffling up under foot. No more heated spruce resin. No more Alaska spirea. No more roses. No more Balsam poplar. In places a strong whiff of molds and vegetative decomp, sometimes blending with moose
I have a great sense of smell and taste. I can sometimes even taste a smell. I have a strong memory association with places and events based on their smells. It can be a curse at times, like some nasty strong perfumes will give me a headache. I don't like to go to weddings or funerals in churches full of flowers and so many perfumes it is sickening - literally. The smells of the ocean on a beach early in the morning, salt air, seaweed and all of the stuff washed up on the shore are almost all great memories. Working in a garage, oil, gas, rubber, hot metal, sweat, exhaust and sulfur. I miss Marlin my late mechanic friend and when I smell the garage smells I think of him. Working in the kitchen, hot oil, onion, garlic raw meat and chicken so many herbs and spices, bread baking, sugar and chocolate my list goes on and on for nearly all of the places I have been there is a set of smells I associate with that place. So it may seem like a crazy question but your pictures are so beautiful in my mind there must be a set of smells that go along with it.
