I like it when they go deep, but I doubt gender has anything to do with it. I've had men and women turn my knotty burls into pulp so I think its physics, technique, and skill.

You have to shop around until you find someone that suits you. Bodyworkers with certifications can be good but I get best results from RMT (registered massage therapists) this is 2-3 years of full time school then goverened.

BTW if theres an RMT college near you, you can get ½ price treatments from 2nd year students who are supervised.

The one in the BC used to have enzymatic mud baths (more like peat or something) but stopped offering it when they moved.....sad...
