The power is back on

It sucks being without power, Our battery is a 9.6 kWh and would run the entire house for less than 3hours. It is wired to only 6 of 18 breakers that run the refrigerator Freezer Grow room, CPAP and a few lights through out the house. I just discovered it is not wired per my specs when the new panel and solar system was installed. It turns out that the 240v 50 amp circuit in the garage for an old dryer that was supposed to be capped off in the main panel and not connected is actually wired in the subpanel on battery backup with 20amp breakers

I found this out Saturday when an electrician came to change out the socket to a nema 14-50 and reconnect it in the panel to the 50 amp breakers, for my new electric vehicle. I have put in a support ticket with the solar company. I missed that when mapping the breaker because I did not have a tester for that old 50amp outlet, plus it was not supposed to be hot! We turned off the main breaker and the solar system and it was still hot when Ed tested it WHAT? Ed thought that there was a Behind the Meter run stealing power but I then proceeded to disconnect the battery from the system and that shut down the power! I learned something about the system then, Everything can be shut down but the battery will still power the backup circuits.
This is exactly why I hired a certified electrician and even he had not seen a system that works like this one.
I am going Thursday to buy a 2023 Chevy Bolt, My 18 year old Elantra is beginning to fall apart. The plan has always been to go all electric since going solar. Hertz rental company is dumping a bunch of 2023 Bolts with under 30K miles at very good pricing $17K which is $10K less than their original price. Hertz decided they are too expensive to repair when customers damage them. Morel of the story - don't wreck the Bolt.
The Chevy Bolt had a massive recall a few years back caused by a deflective LG battery.
General Motors (GM) has recalled multiple batches of Chevy Bolts due to battery issues, including:
- 142,000 Bolts: Recalled between November 2020 and August 2021 due to two defects in the lithium-ion batteries. As of September 20, 2021, 13 fires had been linked to the recall.
107 Bolts: Recalled in November 2024 for model years 2020–2022 that were previously repaired for a fire risk. This recall was due to incorrectly installed advanced diagnostic software that could have failed to detect defective battery modules.
Sales: The Bolt was GM's best-selling EV, with sales of 62,045 in 2022
The second recall last week is good news for me, I may be able to get a better price? At least they will most likely still be on the lot when I get there on Thursday. The battery and software problems had been solved before the 2023 model.

If you fold the tortilla over it is a quesadilla, If you roll it up it is a burrito no matter what you call it it looks delicious.
