The DP lemon Z that we are growing claims only 8-9 weeks of flower. I did my last round of photo's from LH in 100 days from seed

That's what I'm saying. I don't think the timeline from autos to photos is as drastic as it maybe used to be

The statement above lead me to believe you have not grown Photoperiod plants. I can do some autos in as little as 60 days, I have yet to grow a Photoperiod plant in less than 110 days most take longer. That is way more than a "tad bit longer".

One thing you need to remember is that seed vendors for Photoperiod plants are quoting "Flowering Time" only. This does not take into account the 30 or so days it takes to get through veg.

Think about it if it was only a tad bit longer Autoflowering plants may not have become popular?

By a tad was saying a few weeks, i was also considering the time left in the contest. Like i said im new to autos, most journals ive seen the autos seem to go from between 70-100 days plus 7-21days. Thats not much longer in my book. Anybody can grow photos from 12/12 from seed amd alot of strains will be damn near as quick to finish as alot of autos. The general appeal of autos to me seemed to be the simplicity of not using timers if you dont want amd flowering the plants under 18+hrs of light growing monster colas. And yes they finish quicker than if you veg a photoperiod 4,5+wks then flower, but not that much faster, maybe a month. I know there are super quick exceptions, i was speaking generally. But hey, you do you. Ive grown both now and what appeals to me os all i gotta worry about. Hope you have a blessed day, im onto the next thing now.

Ok I stand corrected because Dutch Passion is quoting 9 weeks in flower and if that proves out then 100 days is doable for sure. We will know for sure after this contest. If I can grow good Photoperiod plants in 100 days I may do it more often.

I just looked back at my Panama Red grow (Ace Seeds) it took 109 days. I harvested Dark Devil (Sweet Seeds) in 62 days. I know I had one under 60 days but I cannot remember the strain.

On the info page for the LemonZ grow Antonio said 8-9 weeks bloom time. We're supposed to finish by mid-March, or about 13 weeks from now. So you still have time to veg another 4-5 weeks? Or need to flip to 12/12 a week earlier, like 3-4 weeks?
