I thought STS sprayed onto a female flower created a filament and anther which would then produce pollen crating seeds. When I said “without pollen” I meant having pollen on hand.
Remeber I come from the days of Neville’s The Seed Bank and SSSC back in the late 80’s that sold regulars. I bought some from Neville and lost $200 to SSSC. I have no clue how the reversing works.

You spray, it stresses the female plant, which causes it to hermie, thusly having both female flowers and FEMALE pollen. The pollen will produce female seeds…..essentially.

As far as I know it turns a female to a male which produce feminized pollen that pollinates its self or another plant still really the same process just with regulars you regular pollen with reversed you feminized pollen creating fem seeds. There will still be female parts on a reversed plant so it’s both male and female least this the way I’ve understood it I’m not a breeder
