My understanding is that the clone won't reset the auto time. So your cutting will start flowering at the same time the main plant does.

I just want to use some STS without making the entire plant unsmokeable. I don't want to smoke silver nitrate, lol.

But I also want to make some S1s.

Ya thats why i said to use next time! Unless rooting it in a cup makes it flower way sooner than main plant it would have to wait til next cycle!

But rooting a clone and reversing it leaves the main plant untouched and smokable! And u will get enough pollen off 1 branch!

Couple folks here have taken clones from auto's it works but they stay small like you said they still auto when they want. I think @WildBill has done it
