Good morfnoevight all you happy Monday stoners!
The idiot neighbor has been doing fireworks randomly for days now, since before Christmas. Anu does not like them but she doesn't hide anymore.
We got 2.4 inches of rain out of the last storms and over 6 feet of snow in the mountains. More storms coming next week. The first storm was warm but the one behind it was cold. It is cold here now low 40s.
Last year for the months of November and December I was -1600kWh in the hole on electricity usage over solar production. This year I am only -600kWh in the hole. That means my heat pump system has saved me 1mWh or $500 if I was buying my power over the last two months. I saved an estimated $1000.00 last summer on cooling. The system cost $7,500, I will get a $2,000 tax rebate. That means the ROI is covered in three years. None of that factors in how comfortable our house is, it has never been this comfortable year round! Moral of the story, Get a Heat Pump system!
I got my sourdough starter up and fermenting again from a start I saved in the freezer last spring before it got contaminated by mold and spoiled last summer. My kitchen got too hot for it allowing the contamination. I bought this little sourdough keeper and my starter has never been so healthy. I think I am going to really like it.
Gus is my kinda dog. Living his best life on the land. I don't have a dog mostly because I don't think it is fair to them to live in the city. IMPO dogs small enough for the city are not worth their bark, I call them punters.If you stick your hand out of the duvet in the morning...he pats himself all over with it.....he really is a Happy boy..
We went to the dog rescue to get a bitch ..but he decided we were for him and we couldn't refuse.
I normally think cats pick people..but he picked us....and we've not regretted it for a day..
