Good point. Certainty would hold true until they get bigger and have roots at the bottom. Adding perlite or pumice is key, especially further down the profile you get regardless of container. The bottom 60 percent of my cans have more perlite added.

I envision looking underneath said bed after several months and seeing that greenish bluish whitish blackish mold forming….

I thought one big would could be used like a bed of sorts…multiple plants, synergy, etc…

Yeah that would work great you can 2 in the regular eb but three I'm sure is crowded. Have seen you the roots I had in jr's they filled the entire pot and Rez. They go crazy when you put them on a Rez it's pretty cool to see how fast the roots will eat up the topdressing

Cool…wasn’t sure between the two. I guess it must be composted well enough to be safe for seedlings… hopefully have less chance of bugs with bas too…. Maybe.

I’ll check those out. I’m trying to stick with the smaller tents, since they’re easier to tend with my back… so I’m trying to keep plants a manageable size. So the extra soil volume might not be what I need. (Alternatively, I could go back to the big tent, but with the two smaller lights, with a work space in the center for access. This wouldn’t gain me a ton of room other than up..)

Yeah BAS seems to have quality control down for that i'v seen no personal experience. You know how that can go maybe now that they are getting bigger the QC might go down. But it looks like they use top quality stuff in there soil worth saves and recycling

That has been a concern of mine as well for one grow it would be fine but If I do that I want to fill and go no till for multiple grows with out moving it. I wonder what the pot wicking system would look like after multiple grows no till

Sorry for being a bit of a downer. Spent all day thinking about my deceased parents today.

Another good point as it would mold to the bottom surface unlike my cans. What if a single two layers of clay pebbles were placed for the bed to sit on? If you overwatered it would have drainage so as to not have the roots sitting water. Plus the bottom of the bed would get aeration?

Not sure. The other issue is how long will the fabric last? Will it breakdown and split at some point? Fabric pots get nasty pretty fast…
