@420Forever ...Hubby went to the shop for gas yesterday ...come back and threw an old fashioned hot water bottle on the settee and says here..I bought you that..
Well brought up I say thank you...but behind my poker face I'm thinking...WTF....?...a hot water bottle...
..when in the last 30 years have I ever expressed a need for a hot water bottle....
Why ..why..?... I'm not a heat pack type of girl....and..hang on...we don't even have a kettle to fill it up with hot water......
So I smiled..had a cursory look...and bunged it in back room... expecting it to gather dust for 2 years before I threw it out unused...sigh..
Couple of hours later... where's the hot water bottle..?..
In the pantry..
Then I hear the hot water running....
..and I'm thinking..aw gawd.. he's gonna come in and stick the bloody thing on my shoulders...and I'm clammy already...and hot water bottle will actually aggregate my pain...aggh..
Then he walks in and sticks it on his neck and lets out a deep sigh...oh he says.. that's amazing.. I've had such a bad neck for days.....
Sooo...the hot water bottle was for him...
...and he must have thought all the way home...how do I make this out to be a gift for the wife...Sheesh...man takes some beating...
