When I was running autos in 7 gals I’d have to water every 36 hours during flower and sometimes they’d get a bit too dry. Stepping up to 10’s for the last 3 grows I now water every 48 hours and the pots never become dry but staying moist even when hammering heavy in flower. On a separate note I’ve always grown organically but only just started adding bottom watering in addition to top for the last few years. I used to get leaves that looked deficient early in flower and it would drive me nuts trying to figure out why some plants would go sideways and some wouldn’t because like you both would get the same feedings. I can only say my bro science thinks just top watering didn’t allow for the bottom 1/4 to get an even saturation causing dry pockets and disrupting the nutrient uptake or potentially burning the roots. When I hit day 20 I begin bottom watering. When I water I add 1/4 of total volume to the bottom first then the rest goes on top slowly. During peak flower they take a quart in bottom drip tray and 3 quarts on top. What surprised me is they will suck up that bottom quart in less than 2 minutes.
