I had a Dr. appointment this morning for a cystoscope, all clear on the bladder front. I just had coffee and a Prager's patty on my way out the door.

I don't usually shop a Von's because their prices are $1 higher on everything compared to WinCo but WinCo does not carry Praeger's and Von's does. There has been a shortage of Praeger's in our area for months now. It is putting a crimp in my breakfasts. Anyhow Von's was out of Praeger's so, I was strolling around looking for bargains when I came across this 7.5 pound chicken for 50% off. The date was still good for a couple of days so I snagged it. $9 for a chicken that big is a bargain. It was so big I could not get it out of the pot in one piece to bone it for the soup. I will make 4 meals, 8 servings out of it.

I made the refried beans this morning after getting back from the Dr.s I immediately made a bean, cheese and chorizo burrito to test them. They are every bit as good as I was hoping.
