Good thing i am handy at repairing stuff! My moms smoker was being a bitch and not heating up all the way so she ordered a new one! Before it got assembled i noticed i could get a universal heating element for her current smoker so ordered that and set the new smoker up to be returned! They sent a message offering to take $50 off the cost if we wanted to keep the new smoker (which is almost 25% off) so said yes and used the refund to buy the new element! The size is a little different than the one that came in it but it definitely works now so got 2 smokers to work with! Glad she asked me cuz when i went to check the heating element with my IR temp gun it was close to being dark out so i could see that the heating element was close to going up in an inferno! The thing looked glittery cuz of the number of sparks being created inside the element cuz the wire was shorting out in there! Could easily made a fire if it was left how it was and she kept using it!
