I have a support ticket into the developers about the site slow-down issues. Last time I reported this, they said they could not recreate the OOPS errors at all, which blows my mind because I just recreated it by letting my page idle. I've given them as much info as I can, I'll see what they can do for us.

Same here..just reading and getting the ooops every 30 seconds..10 minutes hang on post..no GIFs or smilies loading.

Me and @420Forever think it it worse 7am my time..just wondering if that was when site cycled or something...?......

My working theory is the backup process is lagging the site. We have the largest database of nearly any hosted site that this developer hosts lol (bragging rights? We're a fat bitch.)

It is what took the forum down before (the file is just so big that the process timed out,) but they seemed to have fixed it (allegedly) since then, but I'm fairly certain it backs up around 12 am (midnight) my time, which would be about that time for you I think.

I am not 100% certain, but it does seem odd that it really errors hard when the backup is running.

I am asking about optimizing the images in our archive subforum. There are like tens of thousands of threads in there with original attachments; it's either hard delete that data, or resize the old pictures to save space.
