What kind of Dynavap are you trying to heat?
I am only going to use the thing for making food. My big concern are the wattage ratings. Most similar devices have the same rating (1,800w), and that sounds excessive for a 120v/15a circuit.

Interestingly enough, I am going to have to get a stand-alone decarb device - its not remotely safe to use the oven for that anymore here.

That is true.

Also true is that if this were a problem it would almost certainly be in the review section. Pretty much everybody in the US that gets one of these is running it on a 120v 15a circuit.

My mom has one she uses for making jam when the stove is full but Frank is correct some materials don’t work on them! They don’t even heat up til u put a pot on it so if wrong material it won’t ever heat up!

No aluminum…..and the bottom has to be flat..
