So the idea has been proposed for a 2026, possibly 2027 if 2026 doesn't work out, but an AFN sponsored educational jamboree.

A few days of likely camping, with a focus on education, community, food, and togetherness. I have been researching multiple spots that allow camping, RV hookups, local lodging, etc. Cannabis friendly.

Colorado is the most central for a USA event. I've had some mentions for Michigan and Oklahoma as well. The venue has to be either on a private property or on a public access, adult-use permissible place. An attorney consultation will be had about "how dumb of an idea is this, or what do we need to at minimum cover our asses."

No fancy big name entertainment.

No competition.

If possible, a place for people to setup tents/booths for their genetics, gear, whatever, within legal reason (and what we don't advertise or don't know, well you do you boo.)

I have mulled this around for a long time, and everyone said "cup, cup," and well. We don't seem to like that idea, unless we do it. And I just don't know if we're there yet, and man. I don't really want to do a cup.

I want to do a fun ass weekend with people I've known for a long time, but never met. I want to try some of your cooking. SOME. Not all. Of your cooking. :eyebrows: :bighug:

When Nancy Wallace invited me to her event in Oklahoma, she told me their farm spent 10k hiring the Mendo Dope Boys to fly out for the night do to their set.

Rather than spend 10k on mendo dope boys, let's figure out how to get everyone here, with safe lodging, water, food, etc.

With some planning and invitation, I think we could make this a thing. Pictured like 200-300 people? Maybe that's not ambitious. Maybe that's too ambitious. A "Friday (if you can), Saturday (you should be there for sure by morning), and Sunday (wrapping it up) kind of thing.

Thoughts on any of this?

But I want this to be accessible, not a cash grab, but covering expense. 100% down to make costs transparent.

If this sounds stupid, I need to know that because there's some serious pull to make this happen lol.
Oklahoma is medical use only… :pass:

The issue is going to be one of financing. That is a long way to travel for a whole lot of people here.

How to pay for it? I don't have an answer for that. And it will be the most limiting factor.

With that said, it might be best to be somewhat of an annual event. As people warm to the idea they are more willing to push some money at it.

Just a thought.

Hell I'd be happy just to see the lot of you. If it was 20 people, I'd still make the effort.

Totally get it. Perhaps I am somewhat biased since I cannot go even if finances are not an obstacle.

If I could, I would be there in a heartbeat.

A short bus.
