You know this may sound unfathomably stupid but I was thinking about trying to grow out a single plant with nothing but flashlights 🤣
Ok, let's extrapolate that...

Lets start with the light spectrum...

Well, you can do a great job of isolating a set of colors through selection of LED cores and phosphorus mixtures... And when you look at the spectrums of flashlights that offer cold and warm white colors, a lot of that is already covered.

I can see a combination of "generic" LED/COB powered flashlights and a few specialty devices with specific colors being a very effective application.

It will be tedious to point certain spectrums at certain parts of the plant, but for someone with a compulsion to finely control the lighting it could be really flexible.

It comes down to lumens and area distribution.

Maybe by the time I can grow again that might be a thing....

My baton runs at 4500 Kelvin so I figured it should be pretty balanced just need enough of them, but at 85 bucks a pop it might get a little pricey, but after the grow I could sell most of em and get most of my money back.

Ya know, for me the idea of being able to direct specific spectrums to specific area of a plant sounds like it has significant potential, as long as the cost and hands-on maintenance is disregarded,

True the other problem is making sure they stay on all 12-18 hours and that they stay charged.

Edit, I think laser diodes and a wide angle lenses might be more effective at delivering very specific spectrums though.

(idly wonderz if either of theze guyz have considered the amount of batteriez it would take to grow a plant for 3 mon under nothing but flashlightz.....i mean, jus wonderin :rolleyes2: ppp)

Rechargeable. Mine can be used while its charging too, so Im really wondering if it would work.
