Never had them in coco either but have had them in my soil grows and just plucked them and watered little less and they went away. That's the one thing I didn't like about my flora caps they do hold moisture in very well too well. I don't use them anymore that I use plastic pots I like to let the top dry little bit more = less moisture for attracting critters and stuff like that
