Ah, I see you were talking about SILICA! I totaly agree about silica.

SALICYLIC acid sounds similar but its a completely different chemical, more closely related to aspirin.

MontanaGrow is what I use for silica.MontanaGrow is your mined source for an affordable premium silica derived from volcanic ash. It's an extremely clean source of silica which a great deal of it is readily available. BAS used to carry it, but I think the owner of the company saw too much of his product being sold by them.

I used to just add it to my top dressings and let the bacteria and all the other bugs in worms help convert the rest over. When I went to order more I found out that they don't care it any longer, so I changed my method of utilization. I now grind it up very fine and incorporate into the worm food I make. It definitely helps the worms in their digestion and they thoroughly process it.

You can definitely tell the difference! You can tell the difference in the branch when you go to train them. It is definitely much more difficult to squeeze and pinch to get one to move. You may experience more breaking, if you don't thoroughly work the branch before you try to bend it.

How did find out that the owner either started or had a business selling this product. Knowing that I can get more, I'm gonna start back adding it to my top dressings also.

I'm pretty sure it would work well for you salt guys also. I would just mix it into my media.

I am looking for a good home decarb machine that can handle 2 zips. It does not need to be fancy, it does needs to be really effective on just flower.

I would rather ask you folks than trust some review from a stranger.

Any suggestions?

If you want to decarb at lower temperatures with SousVide, you might consider an InstaPot. It does Sous vide perfectly, but it does a heck of a lot of other stuff really well too. I use ours for everything from yogurt to beef stew. It does pretty much anything, including pressure cooking. In fact, using vaccuum packed flower and pressure cooking to get the temperature above boiling of water might be a fine idea, although I have not tried it.

Anyway, I would be careful getting a dedicated SousVide cooker rather than the InstaPot which is just as good at sous vide, and good at lots of other stuff as well. Good luck with your decision.

I got the sous vide immersion cooker before instapot existed!

Insta are super versatile, so it would be a good choice.

Regardless of the gear, its the best way to decarb and keep terps IMO.

Sure it takes longer, but like many things about our hobby its worth the wait.
