I was at Woodstock, 18 years old, 130 pounds of skin and bone after camping in the woods at Zoar Valley, NY for 2 months with a scurvy crew of hippies, derelicts, and rejects. My friend had an old Ford 2-door sedan and 4 of us drove as close as we could get to the festival and parked in a field. I had my trump-line from packing supplies into Zoar Valley, so I got elected to carry my friend's 8-man canvas wall tent a couple of miles to where we put up the tent. After it started pouring rain that night I stumbled back to the tent and it was packed with strangers who said "You can't come in, we're full." After I pointed out that it was me that brought the tent, they let me in and I slept wedged between other soggy concert-goers. There was no food the next day, so I picked a bunch of cow corn from the field next door, built a fire, and roasted it. I got within a couple hundred yards of the stage a couple of times. I think I saw @Kyote's pink bus near the Hog Farm Commune bus, but of course I didn't know him yet. I'll watch the video because I'm sure there's a lot I missed, the mob went on for miles. After everybody left the debris was impressive, a lot of people just abandoned their tents and gear and left.
