Yeah...supposed to be. On the periferals...but the first boom the thunder and lightning struck together..direct hit...when it was overhead it wasn't just the cabin rocking..you could feel it through the settee...

When we had the gift shop we opened 7 days a week in December and we were always knackered by Christmas Eve...

I was damn near hit by lightning in the mountains once, I don't like it and it scares the shit out of me, if I have to be out in it. Even in the house I do not stand by the windows when it is closer than a "One Thousand" if it is One Thousand, Two Thousand, Three Thousand count away I am ok. I try not to overreact in front of the cat because she don't like it either and I don't want her to get really scared.

We have a neighbor that does random fireworks - like whenever, no rhyme or reason to his timing. It can be 5 in the evening and daylight or 3 in the morning and anywhere in between. It happens enough that Anu does not even flinch any longer. It may startle me because I am not expecting it and the cat just looks at me

welp, it'z another clear, moonless night, so i bundled up again & stood out there for a bit, but didn't see a single shooting star tonite....bummer ppp

If it wasn't for the dog I'd enjoy them...same with the fireworks......I enjoy watching a good storm coming in from the sea..

I did walk out on the patio during one and just felt all the hairs on me arms and legs stand up... that made me get back indoors fast...
