I thought about organic, but my homemade compost had every kind of bugs in it, and the store-bought organic stuff is mad expensive, and the learning curve is intimidating. I been mixing a trashcan full of MegaCrop 1-part every week, and add some extra PK in flower. I do check PH every watering and usually add a little pH-lower.

That was the other thing I had more bug issue with soil then coco I still see compost mites in my coco but haven't had gnats or anything bad in awhile :condom::goodluck:

It doesn't get funky smelling with the kelp in MC? If I leave mine more the 2-3 days it gets funky so I refresh every other sometimes everyday depending on grow. I do let my Rez's go a week when needed and I'm gone but if I'm around I refresh it:shrug:.

Just remember to add the microplastics for terp enhancement.

I just run my girls in Seedling compost...no added ferts...but I do speak to them Harshly every morning ..

I don't add compost other than what is in Roots Organics Original. I don't go through a crap load of dry amendments per run and they are reasonable price wise. The soil is the biggest expense costing $90 for 20 gallons. That being said everything including electricity is costing me around 50 cents per gram.
