Sorry mods for the breach in protocol, but the template doesn't apply here.
I hope this experiment is welcomed though :tiphat:

Enzyme wars: Which is the better at doing its job?

15g of roots, cut 5 days ago and kept in the fridge, into 3 bottles, 5g in each.

Cannazym: 5ml + 10ml tap water
Sensyzym: 5ml + 10ml tap water
Control : 15ml of tap water

Will check on the progress and report back.

this is a great idea groff, what product do you expect to work best? :peace:

Well, to be honest, I really dont give a flying ass who wins :D just looking to refine my nute rack and share!

I'm not a marketing sucker, but when I read Sensizym's formula was changed, that got my attention. They promote that 80 different types of enzymes, as opposed to just 14 from "major competitors". I was running out of Canna, so I decided to give it a shot, because that is a significant increase and AN's certainly know how to cook.

When it arrived by mail order, I noticed the package isnt the same as advertised. I got seriously pissed because I feel I may have gotten an old stock bottle. But on AN's website, its the version I have. So I'm highly confused here and hope someone chimes in.

I got the idea here;

Hey Groff - are you in the states?

I've been considering using a an enzyme product which has the same exact contents as Sensizym but higher concentrate. It's available at Lowe's and it's purpose is for koi ponds.. it'd be neat if you could do that experiment with that product (or something similar) as well. I believe enzyme products serve a great purpose in hydroponic tehcniques, especially where there's no way to establish and keep a micro herd going.

Look forward to the results, love the fact they're unbiased!

naaa dude, I'm on the other side of the pond :D - zyms certainly are a must. there is more going on than just decomposing dead roots, so this test is no science at all. But yeah, if one significantly eats up those huge-mini-root balls more than the other, I would be very surprised. If not, I'll stick to the cheapest :howdy:

I'd say you have the new label on your Sensizym bro as it has the same NPK as mine,I think they changed the formula several years ago. They have just stopped making Sensical for some reason? I've had to swap over to Plant Magic Magna-cal.
