What's going on with the COB tent? HPS the clear winner?

Tbh man,ive lost interest with the cob tent,nothing really happening,the girls are flowering,but I think I’ll be lucky to get an oz off each one! Safe to say dude,that the cobs will be retired after this grow.ill get some pics up of the girls asap,just don’t know why they didn’t pack on any weight..,so hps a clear winner by a mile man

An ounce off each in coco? That's weird. I've never had a plant under 2oz in 2L pots. I love hps, except for the heat and the wattage. I can triple my growspace with cobs, using the same watts. That's mainly my reason for using cobs. Plus summers here are hot af. Maybe the cobs are too far from canopy?

strange that they didnt perform for you like you wanted id give them another try just on a smaller scale or use them with your hps boost up the photons in flower if not il give you a good price for them if you cover the shipping lol :smoking::smoking::smoking:

Yeah I don’t get it mate? I reckon I must have had the cobs too high.they seem great for vegging,but not so good for flowering.

How close do you let them get during flowering?

I had them at about 10inches,but the plants started to show signs that it was affecting their leaves,so I raised them up to around 24 inches.

Height of cobs is tricky, one thing I do is use a simple lumen meter, and try to get 20 to 25 thousand lumens at the canopy. I can't say those numbers are ideal, just seems to be working for me. Is it 4 cobs in a 4x4? If so, I'd say that's probably not enough. I'm currently running 6 cobs in 3x3 at 250w total. Lights are ~16" above top of plants. Hope you don't give up on cobs, although I see why you would. Btw those plants in the cob tent look like more than an ounce each. Hope they fatten up a bunch for you. They still have 2-3 weeks right?

Yeah it’s yeah it’s tricky alright lol,don’t want the plants to burn,but you want them to grow lol.your probably right dude about there not being enough cobs in the tent,I don’t think I’ll be using them again,if I do,it will be to supplement my hps grows.i hope your right on the amount of bud I’ve got on them,still...I get to smoke more meph strains,even if it’s only a little bit,the grape Walker kush is smelling fantastic...very potent stink to her.
