I'd love to know why Gloomshade was banned. He didn't do anything wrong. Why are the mods here so quick to ban people for no reason at all? Even that bobbygrow guy got banned and for what? I went through his last 20 posts and he didn't do anything wrong yet he gets banned? wtf is wrong with the people who run this community? I thought this site was supposed to be better than the other cannabis communities? it's really not looking like it atm. Why don't the mods actually try to help people instead of being so quick to ban people for bullshit reasons? I hardly ever see any mods offering help in journals on this site yet they are so quick to ban people for nothing. Wouldn't it be better to spend time helping others instead of wasting time banning people for petty and unfair reasons?

I mean you guys legit banned this guy because he made a post on censorship? his thread didn't even say much, he posted a few sentences that broke like no rules and he gets banned. If that happened to me and I got banned from the community I care about because of trigger happy mods I'd hope someone would stick up for me so I'm sticking up for him. The guy didn't do anything wrong and you even have mods calling him a drama queen and being totally disrespectful to the guy which he didn't deserve at all.

It really makes you guys look bad.

You might, this site is a private service not a public government enforced right. The owners and their moderators can do whatever they want. It's not like they have a bill of rights and every employee must swear an oath to defend the freedoms of members.

And you said "wtf is wrong with the people who run this community?" which is a direct insult to the administrators and moderators who've built this site. I think you should apologize or you probably will be banned. And as you may know, this service that brings autoflower growers together is the single greatest pool of knowledge on cannabis ruderalis in the world probably. So just chill out and smoke a couple and let it be. Those guys are banned... nothing you can do about it. This ain't a democracy!!

If you walk into a boozer/pub/bar and start telling the Guvn`r what a twat he is and his beer is shit... what happens? Answer: Other folks get the hump with ya! (well they do in the UK). You get barred...(maybe a day, maybe a week...etc). I believe he/she was asked t`chill out and stop `slagging` a `new product`, which none of us have the `specs` for! He wouldn`t leave it alone, so he got `a slap on the wrist`. Simple really mate.
Now, if you`re happy with a free-for-all, then you`re right...There are loads of sites (pubs), where you can vent your spleen, say what you like and then get your ass chewed up and spat out...That dosen`t happen here...if you step over the line here you get asked (privately!) t`tone it down a bit...If you ignore that request, then you get a slap on the wrist!
...I can`t answer last question (cos I`m not a Mod) and it wouldn`t surprise me if I got in `a spot of bover` for responding to your post...But guess what, I`m a big boy now and I`ll take my `slap on the wrist`, wipe m`nose and get on with it!

I usually try to avoid politics and more so on forums as I am a self proclaimed eedjiot with dodgy opinions and a sense of sarcastic humour that does not lend itself to serious debate.
However, this is the first I have heard of Gloomy being banned and no doubt others also.
Would it not be an honourable thing if members who were banned were listed along with the reason why, so that we all understood, and they also given a final right to reply?
I was not banned but kinda forced out of a forum cuz of one mod who hated me and I never got to put my point of view. My threads were always deleted. Sooo frustrating. Users are not perfect. But neither are all mods and admins. But it would be fair if reasons were laid bare in a judicious way.
AFN is the kindest most peaceful friendly and just a little bit cuddly forum I know of. and our united goal is precious. Let us not fall apart like some other forums due to a lack of openness and right to reply. We should all, always try to be open, inclusive and not divicive. If rules are broken then say so and why.

End of mild rant. The above is the extent of my political output for the next six months. I might be deranged in thinking I'm a penguin(which I am), but I am just an old hippy at heart.

I may be wrong but if bobbygrow is the guy I'm thinking of he blew up all over someone's thread and started calling the user, the mods, everyone a bunch of names. The reason you can't see those posts is because they were removed from the victim's thread as a courtesy. I won't comment on the rest because I don't really know the situation, or the user well enough to be able to judge(not that it's my place to).

It really doesn't matter if this is a private site or not. The site is nothing without the users who post here. It's not the mods who are consistently helping people, but other users who are doing the majority of the helping and sharing of info. Apparently watching people get banned for NO LEGIT REASON, doesn't matter to most of you. That's cool I guess, I know it definitely rubs me the wrong way though.


Better never post your opinion if you don't agree with a mod. Might just get banned, who cares though. =)

Go read the censorship thread that is in this forum and you tell me in what way that guy deserved to be banned and disrespected.




I'm not going to say anything else on the subject though. I will just stick to my journal thread and the few other journals I post in and hope I never run into a mod.

he was maybe just in a pisser of a mood and vented here, maybe he really wanted the light but couldn't afford the high price( whether if its worth it or not its still pricey for some folks ) i doubt he will be banned forever.
